"This is your brain." He drew a big circle on the black board. "A circle?" she asked. "Yes. Or, I mean. This is your mind." he corrected himself. "My mind is a circle?" she asked and tilted her head a little not quite understanding what he was trying to say. The door opened and the vice principal came walking in. "Hi, sorry I'm late." she said. She walked up to the blackboard. "I'm sorry, but why are you here too?" the young woman asked. "We're not sure you understand how grave this is. So we thought it best you had more support when you were told." the vice principal said. The teacher nodded. "Told me what? That my mind is a circle?" the young woman asked. She laughed a little and added: "I don't think I'm gonna freak about you guys telling me my mind is circle. I don't even understand what you mean." the woman said. "That's because you're still in the circle. You need to get out." the teacher explained. "And what if I like the circle? Nobody ever asks you if you like the circle." the woman said, getting a little more angry with her teacher and vice principal. "Just a second ago you said you didn't understand what we were trying to say. But it sounds like you are in fact aware your mind is a circle? That's great! That's the first step to snapping out of it." the vice principal joined her hands together in excitement. "I am perfectly aware of where I am. I didn't need this meeting. I'm gonna enjoy where I'm at as long as it lasts." the woman said. The teacher approached her. "The longer you stay this way, the more painful it will be to get out." he said with sympathy. "I'll be fine." the woman said and got up and put her bag over her shoulder. "That's what you said the last time. And we all remember that circle-course!" the vice principal said as the woman walked out of the room shaking her head at them.
