Who She Is To Me

She has strong hair that's almost too thick to put in a braid. She is born with an old yet playful soul. Her spirit is that of an 80 year old who refuses to accept she has arthritis and still goes swing dancing every Wednesday. She has freckles splashed across her face. When you look into her eyes you don't look away until she does. The only person she respects is her father. The only person she fears is her mother. She loves passionately, but she won't show it. She likes to run through the forrest, ignoring how the branches tear at her clothes. It's just clothes. Despite her youth, ignorance and lack of experience with the world she has an opinion on everything. She howls like a wolf at midnight if she wakes up and the moon shines through the window. She's braver than most. She's shielded because her mother is afraid the bravery will crumble once the world starts knocking on the door. Her father believes in her. He'd buy her a collection of knives if he could. They both love her. One pushes and one creates a nest.

She fights. She fights the wind if it's against her on a bicycle ride. She gets off her bike and throws it to the side and hysterically throws punches at the invisible force until she gets tired and screams and yells all the way home. She's interested in everything. It's like there's a fire burning inside of her that has to touch everything. But most things it comes in contact with turns to ash after a short while. But it never stops burning.

She's inconsiderate, but never means anything bad by it. It's hard to focus when you're always on the run. She enjoys the company of people who can run beside her and keep up with her although you can only count the amount of people who can on one hand. Few people get to help her catch her breath.

She's stubborn. Once she decides on something it's difficult to steer her off her path. She is very selective with when she is charming and when she's not. Her charming side is a super power she uses skillfully to achieve what she wants.

Her first instinct, although she fights it, is to have faith in others and she trusts easily. But few know this. She'll never let you in on it. And if you disappoint her, it's a long way back into her heart.
