"It's funny how that place keeps pulling you back." she wrote to him. Normally, a statement like that would irritate him but it was true. There was something about that place that kept pulling him back. Maybe he'd never left in the first place. Whenever in doubt it is where he went. He'd like to say he knew every turn and every corner, but he didn't and that's one of the things he loved about the place. It never revealed itself to him completely. He felt at ease there. He was at home but still a stranger. Exactly as he wanted it. He didn't completely blend in but still wouldn't stand out in a crowd. It just felt weird claiming some place as your true home when you weren't born there. Some people claimed he must've lived previous lives there and maybe he had, if you believed that kind of stuff. It didn't really matter what season he was there, he found the place equally beautiful. There was a charm and a mystical feeling to the place he couldn't help but be attracted to. He was happy there. It felt like home.
