The two little frogs were on their way home from work in the swamp one day when one of them almost got run over by a car. "Carl!" the other one yelled. "I'm.. I'm okay, Charles!" the toad who almost got run over yelled. Charles was shocked and his tiny frog heart beat like crazy. Carl came over to him and hugged him. "I thought I was gonna lose you, Charles!" Carl said with tears in his eyes. "Well, looks like you're not getting rid of me just yet, old friend" Charles replied and cried with Carl. Carl and Charles had been friends ever since they started working together a few months ago in the swamp. They'd created a strong bond over their love of coffee, good cigars and Hitchcock films. Their wives sadly didn't get along so they almost never hung out outside of work. When the days were long and rainy it was good to have a buddy by your side. To Carl it didn't really matter what he worked with but more who he worked with. Charles on the other hand had to feel like he could climb the coorporate swamp ladder and therefore he was applying for a managing position next week. Carl hadn't been to happy about his best work friend becoming his boss but after a few days he'd gotten used to the thought and they were back to normal during lunch breaks when they chatted. "Let me get up." Charles said. His heart was beating at a more normal pace, but he started to get a bit cold as the sweat on his back got cold in the wind. "Come on, buddy. Let's get home." Carl said and put his arm around Charles. "Sounds good." Charles replied and smiled.
