Justin and Anna were sitting in their convertible car. It was a lovely day. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. Anna had wrapped a scarf around her hair so the wind didn't get it all tangled. She smiled at Justin and squeezed his hand. He smiled back at her, his dark brown hair flowing swiftly in the wind. They both wore big movie star sunglasses. In the picnic basket were a bottle of champagne, some neatly cut sandwiches, strawberries and Anna's favourite dark chocolate. They were escaping city life for the day. Anna looked up to really soak up the sun. They were both so happy. Except for the incident, everything had gone to plan the past 5 years. They both had amazing careers and Anna's business was doing so well she could easily go on maternity leave for an entire year if she wanted in case she got pregnant. Their wedding had been beautiful and held on a French winery. Anna's parents had paid and Justin's had chipped in. It had been perfect. Except for that thing of course. But they had worked through that with intense therapy for a year after. Forgiveness had flowed between them at the end of it all. Finally, they arrived at their destination. Justin laid out the picnic blanket and Anna started taking the food out of the picnic basket. They sat down and poured the champagne while birds chirped above them. They looked each other in the eyes and clinked glasses. Suddenly Anna felt a terrible pain in her gut. Her throat started burning. Something was definitely wrong. She looked at Justin and tried to speak but found she couldn't. Justin watched Anna wrench in pain. She looked at him with desperate confusion in her eyes. "Justice has been served." Justin said and got up and left Anna to die.
