"And what are you trying to say with this painting?"

"I guess what I'm trying to communicate is something along the lines of that people are sometimes told to grow a pair. A pair of testicles that is. But women don't have those. It would make more sense to tell us to grow ovaries. So that's the analogy I'll use. Cause I've lost mine. Same way some men need to somehow grow theirs either because they never had them or lost them, I think I lost my ovaries. They disappeared all of a sudden. And I don't think it's healthy. It's been fun but also a fucking roller coaster living without them. Maybe it's a slow progress, maybe I'll just grow one half back to start with and work on the rest. I don't recognise myself this way. And I'm trying to find a balance. To find a way back to my ovaries."
