Once upon a time there was a very silly girl who thought she could have anything in the entire world. She had been told so her entire childhood. Her parents had created a world for her where everything was within her reach. There was nothing she couldn't do. So when she left for college she was full of hope and excitment. But as soon as she stepped outside her door she saw that the world was falling apart. Her house had been earthquake proof so she hadn't noticed the quake that had created a huge gap from her front door to the road. She saw people walking by on the other side. Their clothes were old and dirty. What was this place? It was not the place she had seen in the books. It was not the world her parents had told her about her entire childhood. If she turned back she'd be safe, she'd be comfortable. But something inside her told her to jump to the other side. The longer she stood there, the bigger the urge to jump became. She opened her front door, went back into the hallway so she could do a run up. She took a deep breath, smiled and ran. But she didn't make it. Because she'd never developed a proper sense of depth perception living in a house her entire life. It was sad, really.
