Of Course I'm Hoping

"Of course I'm hoping. I'm just lying to everybody usually." she said and put her phone on speaker.

"Isn't lying to everybody also lying to yourself?" her friend asked.

"I don't think so. If it is, then I don't mind, believing that lie." she answered and went to the freezer to see if there was any ice cream left.

"I don't think any lie is a good lie." her friend replied.

"Well, the truth didn't help me much, did it?" she asked and sighed when she saw there was only the shitty ice cream left.
