"She took one path.
I took another."
"Nice beginning, dipshit."
"HEY! I'm trying, okay?"
She took her notebook and stormed out of the room and left her classmates behind. She needed space to write what she needed to write, but space was nowhere to be found. She finally decided on sitting in the busy cafeteria, hoping the noise would cancel each other out and become a meaningless buzz in the background. She sat down and tried to write again when she felt the presence of somebody behind her. "Why are you always writing sentimental stuff? You never write anything funny!"
Her classmate was back. She pushed her chair back into him and stormed off again. She went back into the classroom and grabbed her bag. On her way out he was there again. "You have to create some sort of bigger conflict here, princess" he said, "or else this is going to be very boring." "What are you even talking about?" she said. "In this story, that we're in. SOMETHING has to happen. I'm obviously a bully and you're the victim, but what could change that?" he continued. "You're being really weird right now." she said and looked down and tried to pass him. He put his hand against to wall to block her way. "How about..." he thought for a second, "I love you. I've always loved you. I know I act tough all the time, but deep down I'm really insecure and I've always adored you from afar. Please, will you give me chance?" She looked at him, thinking he must've gone insane. He whispered in her ear: "Go along. For the sake of this short story." She gave him a perplexed look and shook her head. "Let me go."
"No, I love you." he winked at her jokingly.
She kneed him in the balls and as he crumbled up on the floor in pain he yelled after her: "You totally ruined my character development, you bitch!"
