Make It Or Break It

"It's make it or break it on Saturday. Aren't you nervous?" she asked her friend. "I'm actually not. I think I'm done being nervous." the friend answered. They sat down on the park bench. "Do you want one?" she asked and held out a juice box to her friend. "Yeah, thanks." her friend answered. Her friend took the juice box and punched the straw through the hole on the top. They both leaned back and took a sip. "I can't believe you're not nervous." she said and shook her head a little. "Well, of course, I'm a little nervous. But I can't afford to be and honestly I'm tired of it too." her friend answered. "Still... How do you just fight that? It can be so overwhelming sometimes." They both just looked ahead out on the lake and the ducks. "I know it can. But sometimes when you've been so full of emotion it kinda leaves you empty." her friend answered. "Well, I hope you make it on Saturday." she said and looked at her friend. Her friend took her hand and smiled. "I promise, I will."
