"The 'honeymoon phase' as we discussed in the previous lecture also occurs between humans when it comes to friendships. Please turn to page 365 in your textbooks under the 'Platonic Love' section. Scientists have studied the humans for years and years and came to the conclusion that the sweet beginning of a romantic relationship can also be applied to a friendship. As opposed to romantic love love doesn't make the human completely blind when it comes to the honeymoon phase for friendships. The human is able to view the other human in a more critical way because love making doesn't cloud their judgement. The humans usually bond over things such as disliking a certain person, having same goals and values at the same time in life or simply enjoying activities such as drinking alcohol. The older the human gets the more difficult it is for them to bond with other humans. Therefore, a friendship created later in life is approached more carefully and takes longer time to build. On the other hand, it is more likely to last longer than the ones the human created as an openminded child. Now please have a look at page 366. 'Roasting' is a term you'll find under the picture of a section of communication between two humans during the Early Internet Era. 'Roasting' is for many young humans at this time an important part of establishing a friendship. When humans 'roast' each other they say rude or offensive things about each other sarcastically. As you see in the picture a young female called Julie has so-called 'tagged' another young female called Amelia in a picture of an odd-looking chicken and typed the words: "You, you cunt." completely unprovoked. Now, earlier generations might have found this very rude, but the young females will probably have a laugh about it and continue tagging each other and writing mean comments about each other."
