Charlotte had always wanted a little girl. But instead she got little Farmer John. Yes, Farmer John was a girl. But no, she refused to respond to her given female name. Nobody in the village called her anything but Farmer John or maybe F.J. for short. Farmer John loved everything about the countryside. But that was also mainly because Farmer John was a child and hadn't been exposed to the actual hard work you had to do on a farm. But Farmer John knew that some day in the future she would be able to take on the challenges the old farmers did every day and every year. Through the seasons she studied their ways and their ways of handling animals, the lands and the weather. She knew she would be the best farmer one day. In her own way, but the best of her own kind nonetheless.
