Blue Boots

The red rubber boots inside the box had been neatly wrapped by her mother and had been hid in the back of her parents wardrobe. Last year she had figured out where they kept the Christmas presents and one day when her mum was busy she found the boxes. She found the rectangular box with her name on it and carefully unwrapped it. "Blue boots, blue boots, blue boots. Come oooon." she said while very delicately removing the tape on the wrapping paper. She could've cried when she saw the red boots. She had specifically told her parents all year she wanted blue boots. She took the box and the wrapping paper and hid it in her room. The next day she went into town with the bus. She went to the shoe shop and exchanged the rubber boots for blue ones. The woman at the counter looked at her suspiciously, but she didn't ask any questions. She went home, wrapped the blue boots in very same manner her mum had and waited 12 long days for Christmas Eve when she could unwrap her splendid blue boots, to her parents big surprise.
