"Sorry, madame, are you going to eat that... that ehm..." "This ice cream?" the white haired woman pointed at the soft ice she had just been handed. The little dark haired boy looked at the ice cream with big eyes. His was almost drooling from staring at the delicious ice cream. "Well, yes, yes I just bought it you see. Tell me, where are your parents? You aren't here all alone are you? Are you lost? Come on, let me help you find your parents." The little boy took the woman's hand but didn't take his eyes off the ice cream. "Can I... Can I have it? You have money for two maybe?" he asked and looked her in the eyes. "Well... Ehm, What's your name? I really think we should find your parents. Of course you can ha-" "Will." "What? Sorry what did you say, darling? I didn't quite catch it. Can you please repeat that for me? You see my ears aren't what they used to be, silly old me. Maybe you have a grandparent who's the sa-" "Will. I'm Will. You asked my name, remember?" the little boy smiled at the old woman. "Will... A beautiful name. Reminds me of my friend Will who died not long ago. Not that you're gonna die, you're young and full of life of course. Oh, Will was a great guy. But wait, we were going to find your parents, weren't we?" "Are you going to eat or talk?" the little guy asked straight forwardly. The blunt question made the old woman laugh and she squatted down to be at eye level with the boy. "No, no. You can have it. There you go, young man. Enjoy." A tall dark haired woman made her way through the crowd quickly and came towards them: "Honey?! Honey?! Oh, sweety! There you are! Don't run off like that again!" "Mom!" the little boy said and ran to his mom when he heard her voice. She took him up on her hip and turned towards the old woman looking at them. "Now where did you get the ice cream?" the mother asked the little boy. He smiled cheekily and looked at the old woman. "Oh, it's no real trouble. He seemed a bit lost, so I thought it might cheer him up, I really don't mind at all, so no worries at all about that. He's such a sweet little boy, isn't he." The mother sighed and looked at her son who looked back at her. She looked disappointed but Will just smiled at her. "I'm so sorry, madame. This is the third time he's done this tonight. I mean, run off and got food from a stranger."
