A New Language, A New World

I want to learn a new language. I yearn to have new conversations with strangers I before couldn't communicate with. I want to stumble over my words and hang on for dear life to get through a sentence until I learn to sail the language's seas. I want to understand. I want to have talks about silly things in that language and be able to understand and learn from it instead of seeing something through a veil. I want my mouth to struggle with pronouncing new words until they confidently find their way from my mind to the person I talk to. I want to discover a new part of me and see who I am when I navigate that tongue. I want to be able to connect with so many more people. To hear their stories, to really meet them. No more gestures or hand signs or handfuls of words. I need a bouquet now. Or no, actually - I need an entire flower shop.
