She didn't know what to do with it, so she'd thrown it into the lake. A year later it washed up on the shore of the little coastal town she'd moved to. Seemed like there was no escape. She grabbed it and tossed it with all her might out at sea again. The waves swallowed it and carried it out of sight. It wasn't until 7 years later it was floating around in a pond near her new house she got really scared. Why couldn't she run from it? Did she have to destroy it in order to be free? She fished it out of the pond and brought it to her house. She was ready to set it aflame but stopped just before she lit the match. She couldn't let it end this way. Maybe someone else could do it for her? She called several dodgy agencies who could help with jobs like this, but none of them would accept the job. She'd have to do it herself.
